Firmware Update and Ouster Studio Issue

  1. I have OS1-64 Sensor (hostname: os1-992010000181) and it has ousteros-image-prod-aries-v2.0.0+20201124065024 when I tried to download and update latest firmwares from Datasheets, CAD files, and guides for our lidar sensor | Ouster it always gives an error in firmware update. How we can update the firmware if we have quite old version of the firmware?

  2. I installed different versions of Ouster Studio such as Ouster Studio Desktop 2.2.0 which allows to configure and visualize automatically. But the sensor is visible only couple of seconds and then disappears, we are not able to see any sensor connections. How we can fix and can use our sensor with Ouster Studio?

  1. I also installed OusterStudio 4.2.1 Windows version, it could automatically detect the sensor but when we run the visualization, it stops from working.

  2. I also installed OusterStudio 3.6.0. and with live-1024x10.json sensor calibration file, we could be able to see real time sensor data. How we can fix above issue and make our LiDAR sensor compatible with Ouster Studio Desktop to recieve and replay data?

Operating system is Windows 11.

Make sure the firmware you are trying to upgrade to is compatible with your device:

  • 2.X is compatible with 1.X and other 2.X firmware
    • (note: reach out to support for help upgrading from 1.X).
  • 3.X is only compatible with other 3.X firmware

Always check for your hardware revision on the downloads page for the most up to date and correct firmware.

If the issue persists, please contact Ouster customer support (support.ouster.com) and include a diagnostic file if possible. Out of warranty sensors may have slower support response.
