12V vs 24V interface box for OS1 LiDAR

Hello! I have a OS1 LiDAR with a 24V interface box.

Firstly can someone confirm which model I have here? theres only one 12 digit number and its “992005000787”.

Secondly, I have a 24V interface box for this LiDAR, but my machine runs on 12V. Is there a 12V interface box that could work with my LiDAR unit? if so, where can I purchase one?

Thank you!

Hello Smeschian,

It is an OS1-16 Gen1.

You can find the lidar datasheet on our website here Datasheets, CAD files, and guides for our lidar sensor | Ouster

The operating voltage is 22 - 26V, 24V nominal.

Therefore, below 22V, the lidar will not start up. You should indeed use the 24V interface box.

However, the last revisions of our lidars can operate with a lower voltage (9.5 V - 51 V)

I would suggest contacting our sales team here if you have any questions regarding a hardware upgrade: Talk to Sales - our lidar experts would love to discuss your project | Ouster
