Does the OS0 sensor provide direct Ethernet access through the circular connector?
Can I break it out to an RJ45 connector and connect it directly to a computer?
Also, can I supply external DC power directly without using the official power/data box?
this is for Rev D hardware, we happens to have one of these spares and wanna use it on drone. Thanks
You can split out the cable into RJ45 and DC power individually. Here is the REV D hardware manual, linked at Datasheets, CAD files, and guides for our lidar sensor | Ouster
Note that this REV D lidar is well outside of its warranty period so be careful when wiring it! REVD sensors do not have the robust reverse polarity, over voltage, and over current protection like REV7, so getting this wrong could permanently brick your sensor.
Thank you, we are also thinking of purchasing a rev6 of the os0 as the rev D is a bit old, does the rev 6 have the robust reverse polarity, over voltage, and over current protection?
also one local dealer recomended the os0 rev7-SR version to us it only had the spec of Range
(10% Lambertian reflectivity, 1024 @ 10 Hz mode) and nothing regarding the Range
(80% Lambertian reflectivity, 1024 @ 10 Hz mode) in the spec, we wonder why is this? would be awesome if you could answer
Range value for the REV7 OS0-SR is:
- 15m for (10% Lambertian reflectivity, 1024 @ 10 Hz mode)

@Samahu Hey Sam, just wanted to confirm why the SR does not have the 80% ambertian reflectivity data tho just out of curisoity thanks,=
