We’ve integrated an OS-0 LiDAR into our robotic system. This has been running well for months.
After our latest test, however, the LiDAR started picking up ghost objects. These are reflections mirrored at the height of the LiDAR. They appear most distinctly in a specific area, and fade out the further away from this area the object moves. This can be seen with the person in the green circle, and their reflection in the red circle.
The LiDAR is mounted upside down and had been running for 11 hours when the false objects started to appear. There has been no physical contact with the LiDAR nor any updates. It currently runs on firmware version 3.1.
We tried cooling it down for 15 minutes, before restarting it. We’ve also tried Reset Configurations in the web interface - but so far we’ve been unable to solve it.
We saw no warnings in the log file that seemed to be causing it.
Has anyone experienced similar errors, and does anyone know what could be causing it?
